SPACE Just as there can no first second , there can be no first yottaparsec, no first meter , no first mile. In any direction you can travel in a straight line for an infinite distance and never hit a final boundary or an edge. There can be no edge of the Universe where something that is not part of the Universe exists beyond that edge. We know that time and space are inextricably bound together so if we can accept that there could not be a first second where no time existed before it then neither could there be a first meter and we must exist inside an infinite amount of eternal spacetime. I find using Universe with a capital U to represent the infinite Universe and universe with a lowercase u to mean our local outer significant measurable universe created from the same cosmic event 13.8 billion years ago helps clarify when referring to each because they are two different things. The entire infinite and eternal Universe is unbounded and was never created and has always existed. The nature of an infinite space defies the ability for it to have an instant of creation. But our localized universe, our visible light sphere, that did have a discreet point in time relative to us when it began and somewhere out in the vast infinite cosmos was a true point in space where the cosmic event that created us took place. Since that time our entire known universe has moved through space and is far from the points in space that our Big Bang event took place at. We likely will never reach the stage of a civilization able to accurately assess where that took place and how far we have travelled, but some “universes” do see civilizations that are technologically evolved enough and have survived long enough to be able to gauge those measurements. The best we will ever likely achieve is to gauge the physical edges of our largest measurable frame of reference and possibly see faint looking stars far off in certain directions. With that we might be able to gauge a speed of rotation and maybe an approximate relative velocity because our “universe” very likely has both. It takes an incredibly advanced stage of evolution able to determine if their "universe" has an orbital period but some “universes” do. Some will have civilizations that spread so far and becomes so strong and advanced that they can actually leave the approximate boundary of their local universe and venture off to explore the larger scale structure of the parent frame of reference that their pocket of relative time and space was born into and subsequently evolved inside of. That is the true natural state of nature that every frame of reference is born into and exists inside of a larger frame of reference and there is a never ending succession to the parent frame of references inside an infinite Universe. Just like time must be infinite so must space be infinite. There is no end to space in any direction. There is no center of The Universe , although “our universe” may have a center of mass and center of gravity and axis of rotation. There is no largest measurement of space and there is no smallest measurement of space. There are frames of reference at every scale factor going out larger and going in smaller in an unending eternal succession. We laugh when presented with the idea of being the only planet with life in the entire vastness of trillions and trillions of stars and planets but think it’s ok to assume our universe is alone. We weigh a probability against a finite number of total planets as to there being life but when comparing the size of our known universe to the size of an infinitely vast Universe the odds that our little chunk of it is all there is inside a huge empty void is even less odds than our planet being the only planet in our entire universe with sentient life. Once we shed our last shred of earthcentricity and accept our known universe likely has a finte number of siblings and an infinite number of cousins we can begin to grasp better the true natural state of nature. #Space #infiniteuniverse #multiverse quantummechanics.ucsd.edu/ph87/ScientificAmerican/SCiam-Cosmos02/is-space-finite.pdf

All the darkness in the entire vast multiverse can not defeat the flame of a single candle.
